SERVICE TERMS

Please read carefully before you send your application and request service to The Language Institute.

Application Fee ($50)
Application fee is one-time nonrefundable application processing fee. Every applicant MUST pay this fee in order for The Language Institute to process application.

I-20 Processing Fee ($100)
I-20 processing fee is one-time nonrefundable administrative fee that F-1 student or student applying for an F-1 student visa must pay in order for The Language Institute to process and issue I-20.

Tuition Deposit (up to $500)
In some cases, we may F-1 student to pay Tuition Deposit along with the application fee. Tuition deposit is used towards the first term tuition. If you are required to pay tuition deposit when you apply, the remaining balance of tuition must be paid before or on the program start date and within 15 days after student enters the U.S.

Please note that tuition deposit includes a $100 nonrefundable administrative fee. The administrative fee is charged in case you cancel your enrollment and withdraw from your class.

Express Mailing Fee ($65)
Express mailing fee is a one-time nonrefundable service fee. Student who requests an I-20 to be sent to must pay this fee in order for The Language Institute to process application and mail I-20 and other necessary documents to you. Please note that The Language Institute will not mail your I-20 and/or documents to you using regular mail. You can, however, have someone to pick up your I-20 directly from our office during our office hours on your behalf.

Housing Placement Service Fee (Prices vary)
Housing placement service fee is a one-time nonrefundable fee. Student must pay this fee in order for The Language Institute to begin arrange housing for you. See also, Housing Options

Student must submit housing request to TLI at least 45 days before move-in date/arrival date. All service fees, room rates, and security deposit amount are subject to change without prior notice. Housing request must be submitted along with the required fees. TLI does not set nor guarantee the room rates of dormitory, apartment and hotel. Room availability is not guaranteed two weeks prior to the move-in date. All housing services requests are subject to further review and approval.

Student may cancel housing placement service at any time before the original move-in date. Cancellation request must be in writing. Housing service fee is nonrefundable if the service is canceled within 30 days of the original move-in date or it has already been performed before the written cancellation is received. Prepaid rent and security deposit may be refunded if you cancel the housing placement service at least 30 days before the original move-in date.

Security Deposit (for housing)
Security deposit is an amount of money student pays to dormitory or host family. The security deposit protects the dormitory or host family if the student moves out without making required payments or damages the room.

This security deposit is refundable. If student gives proper notice and moves out without owing any rent or damages, the dormitory or host family will return the security deposit to the student.

Student may be required to pay security deposit as soon as housing service is requested in order for The Language Institute to begin arrange housing for you. See also, Housing Options

Airport Pick-Up or Drop-Off Service ($105)
Airport pick-up fee is a one-time service fee. Student must pay this fee in order for The Language Institute to arrange this service for you. This fee include a one-way transportation from the Los Angeles National Airport (LAX) to your destination which can be school or dormitory.

Students may cancel airport pick-up service at any time before the original arrival date. Cancellation request must be in writing. The service fee is nonrefundable unless student cancels the service at least 14 days before the original arrival date.

Please note that it is student's responsibility to provide TLI with the complete and accurate arrival information at least 14 days in advance. Student is also responsible to inform TLI of any changes in scheduled arrival no later than 72 hours in advanced. TLI reserves the right to charge additional fee if student fails to inform TLI about the changes and TLI has to rearrange the service or perform the service again.
